Scoring Principle :
The final score is processed as listed below using an index formula of 0.2A + 3.5B + C.
Area affected (A)
The initial score is scaled by the rule of 9, and the final percentage is converted 1:1
to the area affected score:
- Head and neck =9%
- Upper limbs (left) =9%
- Upper limbs (right) =9%
- Lower limbs (left) =18%
- Lower limbs (right) =18%
- Anterior trunk =18%
- Back =18%
- Genitals =1%
Intensity (B)
Intensity is scored in a representative area of AD. Each criterion is scored between 0-3
points from none to severe.
Subjective symptoms (C)
Daily subjective symptoms including pruritis and sleep loss are reported by patients
using a 10-cm visual analogue scale.
