Scoring Principle :
The area affected score is multiplied with the total intensity score for all symptoms
in
each region, then scaled by a multiplier unique to the body part as listed below:
- Head and neck x 0.2
- Trunk including genitals x 0.3
- Upper limbs x 0.2
- Lower limbs x 0.3
The score of EASL ranges from 0 to 72. A score of 0 indicates clear or no eczema, ≤1
indicates almost clear, 1.1-7 indicates mild disease, 7.1-21 indicates moderate
disease, 21.1-50 indicates severe disease, and >50 indicates very severe disease.
If you are concerned that your eczema may not be well controlled,
please seek medical advice. Bring your completed test results with you at your next
scheduled consultation and speak to your doctor with the help of the test results to
describe how your eczema is affecting you.
